Farming In Minecraft

Farming is an important part of the game. It is an efficient way to make food but also an efficient way to make money.

What to farm and when to farm

First you want to find village and colonize them. Your goal is to find their wheat, carrots, and seeds. When you recieve all of those items, you need to find a cow, pig and chicken to breed. Make a 4x4 fencing for each animal and make the animal follow you into the trap. After that, you can continue to breed them and butcher them for their meats. Keep colonizing villages til you have enough animals. YOU DO NOT want to start an actual water based farm yet.

How to make crops grow faster

If good old-fashioned sunlight is too slow for you, make plants grow faster by adding Bone Meal; break down Bones to produce this resource. Outside of a farm, Bone Beal will make tree Saplings and Mushrooms grow quicker than usual. Adding some to Grass, meanwhile, makes flowers grow.

Plant Hydration!

Whenever farming, always leave 8 blocks between water sources. Water sources can hydrate up to four blocks out, even diagonally. This creates a 9x9 area of hydration and means you have more room for crops. The more space you have to plant seeds the better. You can even put the water in the air or under ground to save space above to plant crops down. As long as it follows the rules of 9x9 or is 5 blocks above/below/right/left/front/back
